Grand Canyon Transportation Planning

South Rim BusCrowding, and increased recreational/tourism use are big management challenges at Grand Canyon National Park, which receives about 4.5 million visitors each year. In May and September of 2006, the Chapter and its members sent comment letters on a new draft South Rim transportation plan, to influence the Park Service to phase out cars in favor of transit, bikes, and walking.
