Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument - Grand Gulch Bench (a.k.a. Middle Bench Trail)

Hike Description: An easy trail, 12 miles one way, in the Grand Wash Cliffs Wilderness.  The road travels along the base of the Grand Wash Cliffs and has numerous opportunities for side canyon explorations.  Elevation 4,000-4,800 feet.

Directions to Trailhead:  From I-15 in St. George, Utah, take Forest Road 1069.  Stay on 1069 south past wolf hole lake and corral, then turn right onto forest road 1032.  Stay on 1032, bearing left past a corral.  You pass a water tank on the right.  Continue on 1032, after you pass a junction with 1034, the road will turn sharply north.  Shortly thereafter, at a corral, turn onto forest road 1033.  The road travels south. Look for a smaller road turning left to the trailhead.   For more exact directions, contact the BLM Arizona Strip Office at (435) 688-3200.
