April 19, 2008, Estrella Celebrates Earth Day - 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
To honor Mother Nature and remind everyone to do their part in preserving this beautiful planet, Estrella will be hosting an Earth Day celebration at the Estrella Lakeside Amphitheater. The afternoon event will include educational displays, children's activities, live entertainment and a farmers market for the whole family to enjoy.

Join Arizona Science Center in celebrating Earth Day and learn how plants play a vital role in our environment. Various hands-on activities and demonstrations will be conducted by local organizations. Take home “The Happy Earth Day Activities Book” with Earth-friendly activities to do with your family.
We are located at 600 East Washington Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85004 in the Heritage and Science Park in Copper Square. Parking Garages: The Heritage and Science Park garage is located on the southeast corner of 5th and Monroe. Parking is discounted when you validate your ticket at the Science Center's Information Desk. Additional parking is available at the Plaza East garage, located on the southwest corner of 7th and Washington Streets. Validation is not always available at this location.

You are invited to a party, a "Party for the Planet", that is! Earth Day this year at the Phoenix Zoo will be celebrated on April 20th from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. The mother earth festivities will include games, activities and information. April 20, 2008, 1 - 3 p.m. 2nd Annual Earth Day at the Garden
Join us at our 2nd Annual Earth Day at the Garden, an afternoon at Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix. The program is sponsored by APS, SRP and The Pedersen Group. It will feature special guest, Diane MacEachern, the author of Big Green Purse: Use Your Spending Power to Create a Cleaner, Greener World. MacEachern will share eco-conscious ideas in sensible, time-saving ways to "go green" now and the importance of an individuals "vote" through spending power or at the ballot box and its impact on the world.
Earth Day at the Garden will include fun for kids and families with live interactions with wildlife and craft activities, such as Eco-Man, that support environmental awareness for children. Each guest will also receive a pass into the Garden's Spring Butterfly exhibit. The event is free.

Join the City of Tempe in an effort to celebrate all things green on Earth Day by participating in a 5K run and expo to raise awareness of environmentally friendly practices.
