Pesticides:
stagnant water; pest control; notice

Our Position: no position
Bill Number: HB2036
Sponsor: Representative Barnes
Legislative Session: 2006 Legislative Session

The strike everything amendment just sets up a West Nile Virus report.  It seems fine.  It no longer deals with stagnant water or notification regarding pesticide use.  Apparently, the Department of Health Services has given the counties the authority to address the stagnant water issues.  Unfortunately, there are no notification requirements that go with spraying or treating waters.

Status

It will likely go to Rules on Monday and on to the Floor by Wednesday.
