Grand Canyon Sierra Club News Releases and Action AlertsHurry - only one week left to register for Ironwoods outing... IRONWOODS, WE HARDLY KNOW YA!Wow, the Ironwood Monument in November. Talk about exquisite beauty and great weather. Please show your support for your newest National Monument at a benefit for the Sierra Club's Grand Canyon Chapter. What's on the schedule? There's a hike, educational program, and cookout. You'll get acquainted with one of the wildest places in Arizona! Find out about the threats facing this, one of our newest public monuments, and what we can do to keep exploring and enjoying this unique landscape. Where is this fabulous event? The Ironwoods National Monument, of course. Meet at the Circle K [Marina exit 236 & I-10] to carpool and convoy to the site. When is it? It is from 10am to 6pm, Saturday, November 17, 2001. The cost is $25 per person and includes the outing and meal; BBQ or excellent vegetarian dinner.
