ACT NOW TO HELP BRING BACK BLACK-TAILED
PRAIRIE DOGS, THEYRE CRITICAL TO THE HEALTH OF ARIZONA'S GRASSLANDS

threatened. Burrowing and grazing activities by prairie dogs enhance
plant diversity and productivity and increase the nutritive value
of plants for other grazing animals. Please send your letter of
support before September 30, 2001, Also, if possible, please attend
the Game and Fish Commission meeting in Phoenix on October 19th!

Norton and Arizona Senator Jon Kyl Turn Flagstaff Public Event Into
Private Exclusive Party
Nearly 100 Flagstaff residents, including environmentalists, the local
4-H Club, Forest Service employees, elected city and county officials,
and members of the Navajo and Hopi tribes, took time off from work
and assembled at the Gus Pearson Natural Area to attend a public news
